Deborah Hackbarth is a retired teacher, learning specialist, and administrator. Debby’s fifty years in various educational settings helped her understand that all students enjoy using their imaginations. Many people around the world are captivated by the dragons around us.

Debby Hackbarth has announced the opening of HAART, LLC in Fairhope, AL.

First of all, the business provides private professional tutoring sessions by a life-long learning specialist who has worked in the field for over fifty years – Debby! She has two separate Master’s Degrees in Education: Special Education (Learning Disabilities) and Curriculum/Instruction (Literacy). She sells Memory Magic – a supplemental program to enhance reading, writing, and spelling skills for students of all ages.
Secondly, Debby is also a professional author who has written the Glisten Trilogy – three separate books highlighting the Fairhope Dragon. The exciting books are for sale by the business, at www.thefairhopedragon.com, and at Page and Palette in Fairhope. In April of this year, Debby had an author signing at Page and Palette and was a guest speaker at the Fairhope Library at the April Author’s Night. She has also published poetry and is working on a book of poetry now as well as a coloring book to accompany the Glisten series.

Finally, Debby is a professional artist. At Melt and More in Fairhope, she sold gnomes and other art – tiny canvases featuring black and white sketches that feature animals and scenes of the Fairhope area, as well as a holiday wreath. She enjoys using recycled wood in her creations. Debby can personalize the gnomes and canvases as well as other creations on wood.
